Unfortunately we could not find any boats or ships in the current map area. Please try zooming out to search over a larger area or pan to a different area to see ships – we have coverage in the marked regions on the map.
Boat Watch relies on a large network of shore-based AIS receiving stations to collect and share ship location data with us. We have good coverage globally and track over 50000 ships at any time, but there are always areas where there are no receiving stations and we are unable to display up-to-date information on ships. We understand this is frustrating, especially if you can see the ships yourself.
If you are interested in hosting a receiving station in your area to help us extend our coverage, please visit our
Cover Your Area Guide which explains what is required.
